Adja Junkers was an American abstract painter and printmaker. He studied art in Leningrad, Berlin, Paris, and London, and spent 14 years in Paris before moving to the US in 1947. He received a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1949 and primarily worked in woodcuts and lithography. He passed away in 1983 in New York City.
